West Bengal Comprehensive Area Development Corporation, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bankura conducted awareness programme at 14 blocks of the district covering 78 villages mostly in the mode of farmers scientist interaction, showing awareness videos, distribution of leaflet, method demonstration. Each awareness programme were organized for exchange of information and promoting natural farming module on their next cropping season. These awareness programmes which aimed at engagement of maximum numbers of senses has generated positive feedback towards natural farming.
WBCADC KVK Bankura has successfully organized two days residential training on Natural Farming under the ICAR sponsored project on "Out scaling of Natural Farming through KVKs" during 5-6 January, 2023. Skill development training on preparation of different bio input preparation and field level application of different natural farming approaches along with application was demonstrated. Dr. Prahlad Mondal, Junior technical officer (Animal Science) delivered the welcome address. Dr. Moumita Dey Gupta (Programme Coordinator) has inaugurated the program and detailed about therole of KVKs in promotion of natural farming. Year Mohammad (Agricultural field assistant), Abhrojyoti Mondal (Technical assistant fishery) acted as resource person. Subir Pal, technical assistant, delivered the official vote of thanks. 40 selective participants from 8 blocks participated in the training program.
West Bengal Comprehensive area development corporation, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bankura has developed a multiple crop (cauliflower, coriander, spinach, radish, tomato, fenugreek, Pakchoi) based demonstration field on natural farming for demonstration and training to the farmers at the instructional farm.
West Bengal Comprehensive area development corporation, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bankura has conducted 8 nos. of demonstration on natural farming in farmers' field at Borjora, Gangajalghati, Sonamukhi and Patrasayer Block.
West Bengal Comprehensive area development corporation, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bankura has developed many vernacular handouts which were distributed during awareness programme. Till now 3630 nos. of copies has been distributed among the farmers and farm women, rural youth during the awareness programme.
